More great moments with my kids

In the end it doesn't matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments that took your breath away...

My children's choir, Junyuan Primary School Choir, is going to Genting Malaysia next week for a 5-day International Festival of Choirs. They will be performing almost every night in concerts together with other interntional choirs and will be also under going masterclasses by various choral experts.

I feel excited for my kids. Its in fact their first international venture, the first in the choir/school's entire history. I myself didn't have a chance to go abroad when I was a kid singing in that choir! And its sometimes quite ironic how my childhood memories of singing has become present reality with me becoming the conductor of the very choir I was apart of.

Look forward to having fun making music and hearing the other choirs!

Thank you dear readers for your votes and the advice from my friends and family. I've finally decided on the car I want and got it! Thank you all!

Finally its the weekend! Went to catch a move with Sheila and Gloria and honestly it was one of the better movies that I've watched in a while. Its quite a stepping stone for local movies. And I'm happy that this movie had the actors speaking almost perfect English, unlike most of the rest. A must watch!

Took a spin in the city with lee and then to marina barrage. Then went for supper and drinks. Anyway the lights at orchard were so beautiful! The roads were lit with Christmas lights and decorations and the sight Marina Barrage was simply quite amazing... Arh. Blink blink.

Ok the past few days have been really quite happening. Have been looking and looking at cars and also at the same time, started rehearsals with two of my newest choirs. Great kids... funnier stories. hah.. You never know what to expect from young people these days, especially children!

Earlier this year there was this one kid in my childrens choir who came up to me and asked me "Me Lim, you puberty already or not?" .. o_O

I was so shocked i just stared at the poor innocent child with my jaw dropped as my teachers in charge laughed their heads off.

Another kid in the same choir came to me and said "Mr Lim your toes are like grapes. So (accented)rrrrooounnnd.... o_O

I just said to her "So...You wanna eat them?"

She went "EeeeeEe! So Big!".... o_O!

I was teaching the 7 to 9 year old kids a little music theory last week and to my horror what seemed like music to them turned out quite horrific to me.

Music Theory Homework: Draw the notes G, A and D on a treble staff.

Student one:

Student two:

Like... my goodness.

I almost went blind.

How on earth do you sing a note with a span of 3-5 notes.

Unless you have 5 vocal chords, of you're like some aboriginal tribe whose musical culture enables them to split their voices to create harmonics.

Poor innocent kids.
---------------------------------

ok anyway I test drove the Nissan Latio 3 times and am simply in love with it man. Gosh when you start the engine it sounds like the car is still powered off! Really amazing. Decided that getting a second hand car might be a better choice for me since i just passed my driving less than a month ago. Thanks all for your votes! I do agree that the Latio is simple amazing inside, if you pardon the exterior looks that is. Its feature packed and you can even open the doors and start the engine without a key(as long as you have the sensor in your pocket). Well, I'm drolling already.

St. Cecilia's feast annual national catholic choirs choral festival is around the corner. (In three weeks actually) I think my choir is looking forward to it!

November- The craziest month of the year. Shrieks.
