Had another day of birthday parties. Was at home preparing to go out when i starting playing with my phone camera. haha! typical huh.... (you must be thinking darius is so vain. well i'm not man. i'm just playin' around! hah)
Met ken for a short while at pines to discuss my upcoming musical. All i can say so far is that things are falling into place and trying to touch up some bits here and there. Its gonna be good hopefully!
Today its family day. So my family and relatives met at the SIA club house to celebrate both my dearest grandma's and my birthday! It was enjoyable and we had a great 10 course dinner too. Arh... i'm full.

Had Police choir rehearsals today and was doing the Choreography for the "Say a little prayer". It was fun and the choir looked good doing it. They seem to be enjoying themselves quite a bit too. haha.
After the practice i went to the toilet and just as i was walking back to the rehearsal hall i was freaked to see that the ENTIRE hall lights were switched off. It was pitch darkness when suddenly i heard all of them shouting "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"... hahahaha! oh my.... I was walking towards the meeting table as they were singing the birthday song and saw this huge mango cheese cake with two big and two small candles lit.
I was really touched. Did not tell anyone! (wonder how they found out. hah)
Thank you guys.. =)) Hugs

Sunday Times

Sunday, February 24, 2008
Sundays are always my favourite day of the week. Church day / Family day / Friends' day. Always look forward to making music with my choir and spending the day by just chit-chatting with friends and family and over a nice cup of cafe latte or mocha. Ahh the joy... =))
However stressful times lie ahead... Trying to pick up on my practising now that auditions are just around the corner. Have to start deciding on which events to take first, and which have priority over the other. Of course, piano will always come first. Also, choir concert tour schedules are in the planning process now. The concerts both local and overseas are really starting to give me the gitters!
Seraphim's album is due for release this May. Which means I have to rush the last bit of repertoire for concert (hoping to squeeze it into the last few tracks of "moments".)
Well, the journey begins...

NS life is such that you go to camp everyday and wonder if your boss is gonna give you a new project or assignment, and then you start pondering over details of your life after ns and then start worrying about which path to take; which road to choose. Then you'll sit on your chair which you always sit on everyday using your laptop you start to write a few bars of music and wonder why the music you're writing has no direction. Then... it suddenly occurs to you, that maybe the music follows your current life style; your ns life.
Where am i going.

Another weekend of more CNY celebrations

Monday, February 18, 2008
Yes... its another weekend of MORE chinese new year celebrations. Have been so busy running around attending parties and chalet-events that i kinda lost myself along the way. Yesterday i even got lost as to where to go next after i visited my cousin's chalet at downtown east. I just stood at the taxi stand and was wondering "where am i supposed to go next?" jeez.
Went out with my jam-mate dom to bras.bsah complex to get some music stuffs. My guitar playing kinda s**ks compared to that professional man.
CNY's gonna be over soon. Will miss all the new year food stuffs and goodies.
Sure am gonna miss the card and table games!

Mini Lobsters from China
Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Read this from a mail. Don't know how true it is but it sure looks scary.
These mini crustaceans are literally the garbage cleaners in the sewage treatment plants. The "dirtier" the water, the fatter these mini lobsters become. Their lungs are full of worms (see pic below) and their flesh saturated with poisonous metals. Unscrupulous merchants somehow found a way to get these marketed to eateries. Do not order this dish.

Monday, February 11, 2008
For the first time in many years, I spent time with my relatives and friends in KL. Man, all i can say is after i went back to visit my relatives, i realised how much i've missed out after all these years of not going back to visit them. They're the most loving and fun bunch of people around! What made things better was i got to see my close friends mark joan and esther toO! =D
Just came back today and had to rush to Winnie's place for another round of 'lou hei' . I sure do miss my dearest seraphim choir friends. It was so fun! We had a wonderful dinner prepared by winnie and deserts by sheila and winnie. The food was sinfully ... sinful. haha.. KTV after that, then black jack, and last but not least, the game of the night, "IN BETWEEN"!!! All of us started screaming and yelling till we nearly lost our voices.
Missing my malaysian relatives and friends very dearly.
Definitely one of the best chinese new year celebrations ever

The Life Of A Model
Tuesday, February 05, 2008
Tuesday, February 05, 2008
I was browsing through the 'interesting forwards' folder in my laptop today and was reminded of some really interesting but rather sad facts that i read a few months ago.
Some of these were pictures of models who have gone on Extreme diet regimes to "stay in shape", and have unknowingly overdone it in the process. Seeing this I was reminded of one of my model friends who always thought she was FAT although all of us thought she was sooo thin.
The result is...
To my dear model friends. If you think you are FAT, think again.
