There is a destiny that makes us brothers
None goes his way alone
All that we send into the lives of others
Comes back into our own

sometimes i dont know what drives me so much when im conducting. the passion and love for choral music is simply too deep to elaborate, or to even comprehend in the first place. i love all my choirs. i really do.

Life...

Monday, September 17, 2007

Life has been so busy lately. And due to desperate pleas, i find myself taking up choirs again. I have time to practice for nationals everyday now at work, and thats a good thing. no... thats a fortunate thing.

I also joined a gym- fitness first (at the cathay) with a personal trainer. i cant just exercise my fingers only right? hah..

And of course, i'm trying my best to make time for my beloved family. How i wish there are ten days in a week and 5 days are weekends. hah.. that'll be cool.

Missing my friends from korea piano academy.. memories of korea seems to be lingering in my mind, esp when im practising; every piece i play reminds me of the pianists and professors, the environment and all. going down to visit them soon and also to esther's music school in kl to give a choir masterclass.

I think im happy! (though im missing many of my friends) =)

A Ladies Blog Shop Worth Checking Out

I was browsing through my friend's (Angel Huang) online blog shop and realised that many of her outfits are really nice! Reminds me of what my sister would wear. Her blog is catered to the younger generation, especially for young ladies who hope to hype up their wardrobe.

Angel posses in most of her pictures wearing the outfits she is selling. Imagine yourselves wearing them! Really worth a check out! =)

My KL Experience
Monday, September 10, 2007
Monday, September 10, 2007

My masterclasses and concerts went very successfully in Kuala Lumpur! Coupled with the amazing company of really wonderful friends, my KL experience could have never been better.

Seeing den04 again has never made me happier! - Mark, joan, ai ru, esther and mrs lee looked the same after two weeks of not seeing them from the korea trip. haha! The past few days spent with them were so enjoyable, and i really had the most amazing time going around KL as if it were my second home.

Went to esther's music school, ALLEGRO almost every other day when i was in KL. Her school really impressed me by their High standard of music teaching and students there. It is quite rare that you see a music school with music standards like that. I also gave a special lunchtime concert and also a masterclass for their children's choir. It was great fun making music with them! (*pictures out soon)

Mrs Lee and esther also took us all over kl for different food stuffs and we had so many wonderful lunches and dinners! The korean dinner that we had was simply memorable; reminded me so much of korea and celebrating pui yee's birthday. =) As for Mark, Ai ru and Joan... lets just say i'm so thankful i went to korea and met the three of them. And i do hope we can watch each other grow up and mature into great musicians, and great friends in the near future.

The masterclasses by Professor Arbo Valdma were simply A-mazing. He is one piano pedagogue who really inspires and brings out the magic of the piano and the sound that this beautiful instrument can produce. His students are first prize winners of international competitions all over the world, and from the masterclass, i can clearly see why.

I was told he was very impressed with my playing. And that really motivates me to work even harder. I was also selected by him as one of the 7 pianists to perform at the gala concert on the last night at the Seri Pacific Hotel's Bunga Kenanga Ballroom. The Gala night was a great night, with guests such as the president for the malaysia chopin society and also some royalties (datins). i was the last to play and i think played very well.

I will be following up with professor Valdma on studying in europe as he has agreed to open some doors for my musical studies if i were to go to europe.

All in all my trip to KL was most enjoyable. And i must extend my sincere gratitude to den04; esther, mrs lee, mark, joan and ai ru for their wonderful company and hospitality. Well for us I think its just the start of many great and wonderful things to come...

KL Tomorrow

Wednesday, September 05, 2007

Going to KL tomorrow for performance and also a masterclass with a german professor. Another fun few days. And at last after the long wait i finally get to see my fellow malaysian pianists and violinists! (and that includes esther and lee). ;)yeah man.

Now i hope the pianos there will give me the colours i want. (as in sound wise)

Wish me luck!
