my trip to korea has been one of the most memorable and fantastic trips ever. never have i had such an amazing time learning and sharing music with musicians from all over asia.
the masterclasses by the professors were simply fantastic, and ive learnt so much in just 10 days. during the competition i won the gold prize and my hard work has never been more fulfilling.
i've also met a fantastic group people from malaysia and one from hong kong- mark, esther, joan, mrs lee, ai ru and pui yi, whom i simply adore and miss them the moment we parted in korea. i have never been so close to any family or group of musicians. in just ten days i've experienced the many ups and also the downs with them, and shared the many joys, laughters, and tears. they are truly a group of exceptional and amazing people/musicians- sensible, fun-loving and true.
the girls are simply so fun loving and its hard not to share any thoughts with them. and whenever youre around them you'll always see smiles and laughter. as for mark, hes simply the one friend whom i truly regard as a brother. we share same thoughts and also the same lame jokes and stories. =) and i hope with time it'll only grow better. as for esther and mrs lee, talking to moms/adults and sharing ones personal thoughts has never been more comforting and easy.
its hard to find friends like that these days, and i am thankful i found 6 of them. i look forward to the future meetings with them when we can share music and hang out once again.
thank god for korea.

Hi All, its been a long time since i last blogged. My experience at the 2007 Asian International Piano Academy, Festival and Competition in Korea has been most amazing and fantastic. I dread leaving this place now.
The competition ended two days ago, and results were announced today. I was awarded the Gold Prize!
I am simply overjoyed beyond words. I have done myself, my family, my teacher, and my country proud. The past week is definitely a dream i am living. And i'm simply loving it.

13 August Asian youth music competition
The Grand Finals for the Asian Youth Music Competition for my category (G) was held today at the suntec convention auditorium. It was an exciting time as all the asian musicians gather to compete for the grand prize. It was quite nerve wrecking! Results out this saturday, and here are some pictures!

Anyway, the Living With Darius concert was a fantastic success and I was really proud of myself. It was full house and the arts house had to even open extra seats for excess audiences. hahaha.. will post some pictures up soon. After that we went for a very gd dinner cum supper with Mr loh, janani, karen and the shao sisters together with their japanese teacher. It was fun!
What an unforgetable day... Simply beautiful.
