The yellow pages distribution started today!

In the afternoon i went down with dad to collect the yellow pages, and it was a hilarious scene at the super-crowded post office after the staff there noticed i was on the pages. hahaha! ok i shant go into detail.

The high scorers concert went well! As in there were no major screw ups in the whole concert etc. hah.. my performance was ok. the keys were EXTREMEly wet. Shao suan and yumi played really well too. and Yumi is really quite amazing for her age. you should see the way she plays the violin! wow..

After concert my parents too my little sis and I for a really really good buffet dinner! Woots! its been sooo long since ive had a proper buffet spread of any sort man! hah..

The Trinity high scorers concert is just this sunday! I'm so excited!

Last week I was invited to be the guest-of-honour for the Sing Singapore Party held at Cristofori Bishan. I did not expect such a large turn out. It was SO PACKED! I think it was probably because of their adverts on the zao bao and S.T.

I gave a performance of a number of pieces on their new japanese upright which was at launch on that day and was really delighted to see the audiences were very happy with it. =) Was also given a public interview by one of the managers there.

The audiences were mainly parents, kids, piano teachers and music students who also had loads of questions for me; and sometimes i felt as if they were the ones interviewing me. hah.. The cute little kids were all sitting in the front!

For the first time, i felt as if i was really bringing music to the heart-landers in Singapore. It felt great. =))

We finally ended with the cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the nation's birthday while everyone got into the party mood.

It was a pity i didnt eat the cake because i had to rush off to the Juzmusic performance. But I enjoyed myself a lot!

We brought Li Feng to MOS a week or two ago as she had never been there before, and were shot by "Whosgoing.sg"

What a fantastic night!

I'm really satisfied with the two performances today! They were really very good and judging from the cheers i think the audience loved it man. hah..

I pray the rest of the concerts this month will go just as smoothly.

I'm rushing my old pieces now for tonight's rehearsal for the trinity high scorers concert later this month. Cant believe i have to play my old pieces again! sometimes moving on is a good thing. hah... but still, its quite exciting though.

Tomorrow is a CRAZY DAY of concerts! I can't imagine how i am going to rush from bishan to marine parade in 15 minutes! Cristofori's concert is at 2pm and JuzMusic Academy's opening concert is at 3pm! Gosh.

Thankfully i'm not playing the same pieces for the both performances. So its something refreshing. =))

Anyway, my cough just wouldn't go away! I think its the haze in the island these few days. Must have came from indonesia while they were burning forests. Sigh so many of us are sick!

My fever, sorethroat and flu is gone, and thanks for all your well wishes esp ss and pear who were always asking me to rest more. i did! =)

I pray i won't cough while playing tomorrow.

After practice in the morning i had reherasal at cristofori for the perf this sat.. Fortunately it went really well.

Now im really looking forward to the concerto concert end this month! =))

You know, although i didnt step out of the house at all coz i'm still sick, i really feel the excitement and joy of our nation's birthday! yea...call that 'cheese'... hah. but somehow i really do.

ended up watching the parade at home with a few relatives with a towel on my forhead. hah.

I feel like waving the singapore flag man.

lol.

Imagine you're coughing your lungs out until you cant breathe, and feeling so exhausted after the few thousand muscles that you have been using to cough out nothing for the whole day.

Imagine having a throat so sore it makes anything you eat or drink feel like small durians plunging down your esophagus.


Thats me now.

Yesterday was a day of pure relaxation and fun when my friends and i checked in to the Amara hotel! Mel khongs parents generously booked a hotel suite for us to stay over as a sorta parting thing before she went back to the states.

Well mel goh was supposed to come with us too and i was really looking forward to four of us having loads of fun, but unfortunately she had an eye infection and couldnt make it to join us.

As shao wen was joining us at night, Mel and i checked in to the Amara after a late lunch, and were really excited to see our room! woots! we had two rooms, one for the girls (supposedly mel khong and mel goh) and one room for the guys (shao wen and i).

After we checked in, we strolled around the hotel and its shopping center to see what there was, and had a long chat at some american cafe.. and as mels going back to manhattan this friday for another year or more, i dont think i'll be seeing her for a while. but we really had gd food and gd chats man. hah.. =)

At night we went to clerk quay for a really good dinner at TCC and later at night, shao wen finally got off from his mdc shows to join us at the Ministry of Sound!

It was really fun man!

Later the three of us got back to the hotel and we chatted till around 5am before i couldnt take it and fell aslp. hah.

The next day, after we checked out we pampered ourselves by slping till really late and then had a gd branch at subway.

Really gonna miss mel when she goes back to manhattan man...

Accompanied my sister to far east today to shop. She bought this damn nice shoe man (i chose it for her. heh) and also a japanese top... green.

I ate fried mars bars even though i had a sore throat, a bad one. hah.

After that went to shao suan and shao ying's place to help her do her blog skin. It was really fun man! and guess what. we took THREE hours just to do suan's blog! (im so sorry ying i'll have to do yours another day! i promise!). haha.. but anyway, if you wish to view and see how BEAUTIFUL her blog is, then pls go to "Shao Suan" at my links. hah =)P

It was really damn fun laughing with suan and ying at odd photos we found on the net... some really gross ones too! i shant elaborate on this fat woman we saw... in a bikini. haH!

Had concerto trials at night at NAFA with dear Ah B and dear suan after that, and although i could have played much much better, i know where i have to work on now, and how to work on them.. thanks again B! it sometimes scares me how fast he can correct my playing. arhh... the trauma.

Had loads of fun with suan too man... she's really one of the best accompanists evER. Period. but hey, remember there are ALWAYS good days and bad days yea =)) so smile! =))

After that we had supper at the prata shop and then we made our way home.

Chatted with Laurel as i was going home and hey, i must say he played well yesterday at the platform man. damn nice sound.. At least it was worth while going to support you. hah! jk. 'jia you' brother!

What a day man. i had better get to slp now. Another long day later; Mel khong, Mel Goh, Shao wen and I are going to stay at a hotel in the city man! woohoo. and mos at night! hah.. cant wait guys!

I have this good friend and I shall call her CS. I've known her for almost 4 and a half to 5 years now, since she joined one of my first choirs I conducted. After she left the choir, we became gd friends. Now I've seen her grow up and she's almost 18! Sigh, how time really flies.

During her days in my choir, she met this other guy in my choir, and all these years we (CS's friends, and my friends) have been trying to persuade her to leave him. He has cheated on her so many times! -i.e been with other girls while he was with her, talked about having sex with other girls, treating her badly, and never fails to put the blame on her every single time they quarrel.

I've heard and seen too many things happen to support or even allow this then young, unfair and fragile relationship. And this was a few years ago. She was so young!

My friends and I tried our best to persuade her to leave him because we knew what he was doing behind her. She just refused to and stuck to him no matter what. They did have a couple of breakups but the eventual results would always end up as a patch up. Soon I gave up and just let her do her thing.

Only recently... Did she decide that she's had enough of everything that was going on, and decided to call for THE break up; once and for all.

Finally.

After all these years of unimaginable forgiveness that she has given the guy and self consolation to tell herself that the relationship would work out has finally come to an end. She had finally felt what all of us were feeling, and seen him through our eyes for once.

I have never met such a self centered and sick person like CS's boyfriend before. And besides the fact that almost every sentence he speaks has an f word (my brain usually suffers from an over dosage of vulgarities every time im talking to him, scolding him or just being beside him), he only cares about himself and puts no thought into his girlfriend's well-being whatsoever. How disgusting! Its couples like this that I think sometimes single-hood by far a better choice. But i think not all couples are like this. I pray..

I'm just glad that CS had finally found her way through the storm these few years, have seen her getting upset and confused too much. and after hour long conversations with her yesterday and today, I found that she's really maturing into becoming a great person with a wonderful personality.

I'm really glad that once upon a time I taught her music and shared the passion of music with her. And I was really surprised she still remembers much of the old days when she was a choirester in the choir. To me, that's the joy of being a choral conductor, or even any music educator.



As for me, I hope someday I would find my dream girl... hopfully i would be roller-blading someday by the beach and suddenly, i spot her sitting on the sand, with her long wavy hair flowing in the wind, with that beautiful smile, and the lovely figure which never fails to cease my heart and mind... wearing that Elizabeth Arden perfume and.... having the greatest personality ever.

That would be the only time when...... I hope I'm not dreaming. haha..
But well, that's why they call it a Dream girl.

ahh... i'm sinking into dreamy thoughts now...
