mrs rina phua invited me back to nafa (although i have graduated. hah) to played at music platform at the nafa theatre today. =)) played the liszt vallee d'obermann, and despite a few slips here and there, i felt that i conveyed what i wanted to show in the music, which is to me, the most important aspect of piano playing.


would like to thank all of you for your really encouraging compliments and comments. =)) and looks like its back to practising again from tomorrow onwards. hah.. thank you once again all of you! esp ppl like shuting, lixing, minyu, peifeng, peifang, mingwei.. etc etc etc


actually im kind of upset now in a way, sometimes when it concerns friendship, so many things can change in such a short period of time, especially for musicians...


i have this gd friend.. we shared the same interests in music and also instrument. sigh. dont know whats become of him now. his character is changing and the way he speaks and talks to people simply upsets and pisses them off! arrogance? frustration? i dont know. i just know ive had enough.


i've really had enough of covering up for him, and explaining to all my other friends the reason why he speaks like that. its time he faced the world without the help of me or his gf and other friends and start facing facts about how the tactful should handle matters.


sigh. somethings said are just better forgotten.

Had the high scorers audition from trinity college london today. quite satisfied with my playing. the audition judges were surprisingly young though.. haha.. oh wells.

met lyn and jj that day at the mrt station!! i was just standing RIGHT infront of them for almost ten minutes and we didnt recognise each other at all. until i saw the reflection on the glass door and i realised it was them!! hahahah..

theyre my long loST secondary school friends whom were very close to me in secondary school but after graduation we hardly contacted.. until that day at the cityhall station. hahahah! how i really miss them man. they still are the same bubbly and fun people... hope to catch up with them soon! =))

met suan that day after she came back from china too... jeez her trip was so interesting! how i wish i can be a pianist like her in the future... travelling the world and performing.. what a dream.. =))

alright i hafta go for performance class at bukit timah now. laters!

Cristofori just sent me the draft copy for this years' yellow pages back cover. I think its not bad, but i thought there were better pictures taken during the photo shoot. haha..

Anyway, here it is. I think it'll be out in august this year. Cheers! =))

This entire week has been rough for me, and i couldnt be more glad that the weeks finally coming to an end.



besides other personal issues, im rather stressed over so many competitions, now its starting to drive me mad...




the high scorers auditions are just next week! then the trinity comp, sso audition, ukraine comp, then... the scary Chopin.



i have to practice!



4 hours now prove to be an easy task. but for now, its no less than 8 hours






had a gd time at least tonite with kit, went to watch mel's sch play and then caught a movie the R.Vacation. Its really gd and hilarious. catch it!

what a great experience..


well for one, i thought my choir sang fantastically well, and im really very VERY proud of them =)) and also, i strongly think we were the publics fav. item. because there were two of the audiences who came to us and congratulated us! hahahah..although not first, but well a third prize in this national competition is really not bad at all!! =)) and i'm contented... although some of the audience weren't? lol.



but what really matters is not the prize, but the experience that we(the choir and I) have learnt out of this comp, and the friendships we've made.


besides the prize money that i've won, i've learnt so much from this competition, and with a fantastic choir like the one which sang with me today, theres nothing to lose even if i dont win! =)) the fun we've had learning and making music is truly unbuyable.

The Trauma of solo singing.... sometimes kills.

today has been pretty much slacky for me... its been so cloudy and windy, so cold and really relaxing. i got up close to noon, took my bath and went for my 'breakfast' at the market, only to witness a horrid car accident happen right infront of my face!

the accident involved three cars.. a taxi and two toyotas.. it was so bad that when they collided there was a hUGE "BAAANNNGGGG!!!" sound and the toyota vios had its ENTIRE front engine flatten till it looked like there was no engine at all!! jeez..

i just stood rooted to the spot now knwing what to do, and in the mean time those old uncles and aunties came running out of the 4D/toto shop screaming in almost every chinese dilect that could be audible and understood by my ears; they were telling each other what had happened although none of them had witnessed the incident. and everyone just stood at the junction waiting to see what was gonna happen next. typical.

and there was i, right in front of the whole accident scene. just a few meters away. i tried to scout for the drivers and passengers in the cars which collided and thankfully all the passengers even started walking out of the car!! however two of them were limping out of the damaged cars and the petrol from the toyota vios was leaking profusely... so everyone immediately rushed away from the leaking car.

fortunately the ambulance and so i decided then to continue with my stuffs and went to buy 4D for my mom. after all, the entire queue in the 4D shop was standing at the road side. hmm.. well i dun see a 4D shop at the road side though. haha...

now that schs temporarily over for me b4 i go to serve my nation, lifes getting pretty different in many ways.

i think my enlistment is probably in december now because of some deferment issues with the government.. but well in these six months its nothing but competitions and competitions for me. something to look forward to!! =))

however sometimes i kinda miss sch, and feel of practising in sch with ur friends and fellow musicians is really a different feeling altogether.

was thinking of getting a part time job.. something that has got nothing to do with music for ONCE in a longgg time. hah.. but well, if time allows, we'll see how it goes..

Had the choir reharsal for the finals of the competition which is happening this coming saturday... was really happy with the outcome and the result of the practice and rehearsal.

in one rehearsal we amazingly covered learning the song parts, movmnts and actions, recording onto the CD etc... i blieved the singers really had a great time as i did myself =)) everyone was smiling and laughing non stop i must say..

there were many singers.. more than i expected in fact.. and there were new faces whom i havent even seen before! hahahah.. but im grateful for their help=))
my sincere thanks to the singeres and all my choirs who volunteered to help me in the competition. and my utmost gratitude esp to these choirs
