the competition finals are just next week! jeez.. and ive been so busy the past few days trying to gather my choirs together for the competition!

hopefully i can get more inspiration at this saturdays composers seminar.

well im just hoping for the best now. not expecting much. but yea, hoping for the best.

The 2006 National Arts Fest Competition is a nation wide competition where composers, musicians and other lay people come together to compete in two categories; Song Writing and Instrumental Composition. I took part in the song-writing category and out of a few hundred entries. The judges would short-list 12 of the best compostitions to go through to the semi-finals.

For the song writing category, the song must be a song of the nation; and in other words, a national day song. the winner gets a few thousand dollars in cash and the song would be a potential to be a national day song.

Its the Semi Finals today!! I was really shocked to see so high a standard at this competition, and was especially impressed with those contestants who were from normal schs (not music schs). They were REALLY good man.

In the evening they annouced the results for the top six to go into the Finals of the competition. And on the sixth name, my name was called!! Phew... (probably because i was the last few to present my song. hah)It was really fun man today! and stace came to support =)) damn sweet lar. hahaha... aiights do come support me if you can yea?! 10th June at the Nanyang Arts Theatre. More details u guys can msg me lar. hah! once again thanks for all your support in the semis! Cheers!~

for the past week i have been extremely ill. was down with fever and sore eyes! and you know, its ok if one eye gets swollen, but for me it was a night mare to wake up one of the days and finding out my both eyes were swollen. talk about being blind for one day..

thankfully im recovering quickly, all thanks to Singapore's wonderful pure drinking TAP water. have been drinking at least 15 bottles/cups/mugs/jugs of water everyday. now... u might imagine how many times ive visited the toilet. so much so sometimes i just feel like staying in it.

my eyes are getting better. and fevers gone down. now all i need... is the toilet.

well his apartment condo at the *toot* springs(confidential place to prevent stalkers . lol) is reali darn sheek!! love swimming in his condo's pool and love his house is a real cool one!

23.What's your favorite thing about number 5?
kel? hmm my fav thing about him is that, he clicks with my mom realli well. (they both teach bible study together although hes like around my age man.) and he plays gd mahjong with us, and last but not least i would have to say hes a great company!

24. What do you think of no.13?
a really great musician from nafa with a great voice and has loads of potential as a singer. likes to act cute and be cute. wahahahhaha!! ok sounds reali wrong. but well, a reali nice friend!

25. what do no.4 and no.19 have in common?
well theyre both musicians, and in the same clique(hangout bunch). has fun personalities and loves crapping a lot. hahahha!

26.what special qualities does no.17 hold in your life?
they are my inspiration and my very close friends when we were in nafa and have always guided me throughout the entire journey in the sch... have shared many wonderful and fun times together man.. and hope we'll be sharing much more in the future =))

these entire week for me has been devoted to catching up with long lost friends and also hanging out with old and new ones. hah... its been a hellava week man.

went to watch the Da Vinci Code with Laurel and Victor yesterday at the new Cathay Cineplex just next to PS. the show was gd man...

but seriously, the show needs a lil after-explaination esp. to those non christians who seem oblivious to the details and facts which were going on in during the movie. hah.. Laurel was one of them.. a lil blur here and there. hahah... was reali funi that guy..=)

the cathay cineplex hasnt benn reali officially open yet coz many of the shops are still not done up, but seems like its gonna become the next cine-leisure!! has a reali big space and the cinemas' sound systems are simply unbeatable!!

these few days have been practising a lil and also hanging out with laurel vic and jeremy.. going swimming and stuffs... reali fun buncha dudes man.

and today i recieved a vip invitation to ministry of sound for the glamour party nite! woohooo.. so decided to go with kit since i had two complimentary tics. it was SO fun man!! hahaha...

we wrecked all the dance floors and even did some dirty dancing. hah... hmm.. maybe you should ask her about that huh. hah... drank long islands, and around the world. jeez.. its shiok.. hah.. after that one of the photographers asked for a picture of the both of us to put on their glamour photos. we agreed. and this was wad it looked like!..

Today was really a day to remember; The 2006 Year 3 NAFA Music Graduation Prom Party. It was so amazing i think everyone was really really happy with the outcome..

90 percent of the graduating class turned up at the SIA Club Function Room. I booked 2 rooms instead of one so that there was enough space to move and run about for the games, which turned out to be a huge success..

the buffet dinner was not bad although everyone wacked up the thai rice and i had to ask for more.. hahaha. but over all i think everyone was happy with the food.

the ktv room really made ALL the girls there go crazy. ESPECIALLY midorie and tang qi and all of them!



jeez... i just walked in to check on them and they were simply CRAZY!! singing and singing their hearts out like drunk people man. hahhahahaha..!! but it was reali fun!

the guys on the other hand went for the pool tables and they were so engrossed in it they forgotten the table games had started without them. hahahah..

there were the class representatives from each level too who gave speeches during the dinner on their experiences with the 3rd year students and how life in nafa affected them. it was really touching. especially from chong leong and shu han. the whole class just went clapping non stoP! hahah..

the other class reps were charmaine and eudora from year one, Larel from access course in which he gave a very commending speech which brough li feng screaming and the whole class bursting to laughter. hahahha! (those who went will know why)

then we had the most sincere and touching sharing where everyone pulled chairs to sit in a circle as one by one we shared our memories, problems and happy times in NAFA, and not long after so many of us broke down into tears of joy, sadness and happiness.





the whole class made a promise to keep in touch; THROUGH ME. haha... so im the one to be the one to collect all their contacts and changes in address for the next ten years. that was a promise all of us made.

it was really a day to remember, and before we left our seperate ways we spent a while hugging each other and taking down contacts plus snaping our last shots before the night ended, and we went our seperate ways...

met louie in the morning for breakfast at yakun then went to walk around and chit chat abit. and hes really tan now.. so stop asking for a darker tan! hah...

had the committee meeting and with ppl like lifeng may and bernard everything was settled. at least i wont have to do a one man's job anyone. haha.. =)

then jae and shao suan came over in the evening to have a game and chit chat... i reali miss them man. jaes going back this thurs. for three months! jeez. nvm.. can always meet ss for a drink. hah.. surprisingly lifeng was the big winner in this game!

hafta go to sch later.. having rehearsal with laurel. and this is what i call havin real fun in music; making gd music with gd friends! hah..

life after exams has been pretty much different. u have different views on what you wanna do now, different plans on different things with different agendas.

the biggest thing now is the prom this thursday. its just drving me crazy chasing money stuffs and getting things settled. and theres a tea party at my place for my class peeps... guys pls dont forget about it! hah...

the last week has been really stressful preparing for exams. and on monday i went for the confirmation mass. it was such a sight to see so many confirmants on that day!! took a picture with my two bros too. trying to pose in church but apparently one of them is failing. hah... =P



today had my last graduation recital, and finally... everything is OVER!! woohooo.. no more exams for the next two years man.!! coz i'll be going army. time to really party!! woohoooo!!
